This year we have two major trends. One is the OTK (over-the-knee) boots that look simply gorgeous, exquisite and sexy and the other one is the ankle boots in different fantastic shapes-peeptoes, strappy, studded, platforms and more, which look classy and elegant. I personally love both types of boots and enjoy all different designs, of course preferring the high heel and stiletto ones over the others.
In my main blog, I have posted pictures of celebrities in over-the-knee boots in the past. Now, it is time for pictures of celebs in their sexy ankle boots, peeptoe booties and more.
Most of them have a very tight shoe game and some of the boots are really fierce. The celebs in this post are Amerie, Ashlee Simpson, Beyonce, Carmen Electra, Catherine Zeta Jones, Charlize Theron, Estelle, J.Lo, Kate Moss, Katy Perry, Lindsay Lohan, Renee Zellweger, Rihanna, Sandra Bullock, Shakira, Solange Knowles, Taylor Momsen, and Victoria Beckham.

Enjoy.

Christian Louboutin Velvet and Ostrich Shoe Boot
These black and red velvet and ostrich shoe boots are really hot!
The top of the vamp is made of red velvet and the rest of the boots is made of ostrich leather. The hidden platform is covered with the same leather as the rest of the boot and the stiletto heels measure 5.5 inches. These short booties are zipped up on the inside. The almond shaped toes ensure a comfortable fit in the front section in terms of width.
The trendy red red color on the upper is a great match with the signature Louboutin red leather soles.
The price is set at £1,005.00 (approximately $1,645.00) at Browns.

Louis Vuitton SS 2010
Following the excellent and pleasing designs of the summer 2009 with a myriad of sexy strappy sandals, peep-toes and summer booties, we were amazed by the beautiful peep-toe booties of the fall season, which were followed by the exceptional over-the-knee boots of winter season. Great designs by almost all top designers, gorgeous material combinations, sleek silhouettes, the wonderful display of craftsmanship, and the breathtakingly innovative stiletto heels made us feel like we were in a wonderful dream and we never wanted to wake up.
Until the moment of the rude awakening came! I was happily browsing the Internet to see what’s new and upcoming when I got hit with the truth: I saw the Louis Vuitton SS 2010 shoe designs. My God! Then came the second hit from Chanel. Then came the third hit from Alexander McQueen, one of my favorite shoe designers. I was trying to stay positive and optimistic, however, they kept coming: Dior, Miu Miu, John Galliano and Nina Ricci!
One after the other they hit me in my face with their hideous shoe designs for SS 2010, reminding me that I was not in my joyful dream anymore. The creepy designs, the weird material combinations, the disturbing colors, and their unsettling presentation made me feel uneasy. (Check them for yourself)
Now there is one thing that we can do: We should hope that none of these strange designs go to production and see the daylight again and that they stay on the runways as means of attracting the crowds’ attention. I am also hoping that the other top designers, who still possess a ‘design sense’, will choose to continue the current elegant styles and create beautiful shoes and boots again for the SS 2010 and beyond, which are worthy to be worn and which make us feel good and happy again while wearing them and while watching others wear them.
You can see all pictures at my main blog.

John Galliano SS 2010
Alexander McQueen is taking legal action against Steve Madden for copying his peep-toe bootie design called ‘Faithful’, which is by the way one of my favorites for this season. Steve Madden created a remarkably similar design called ‘Seryna’ just months after McQueen’s design was revealed.
Now according to nymag.com, Alexander McQueen is suing Steve Madden for allegedly copying his Faithful bootie. The law suit, filed October 1 in Manhattan District Court, alleges Steve Madden’s Seryna Bootie is a “studied imitation” of McQueen’s Faithful design, which was inspired by a motorcycle jacket. McQueen’s lawyers add, “In fact, the only design element of the ‘Faithful Bootie’ that Madden did not deliberately copy is the zipper pull that contains the ‘Alexander McQueen’ trademark skull.”
McQueen’s lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to Steve Madden in September, but they refuse to stop making and selling the shoe.
I can see another difference between these two booties, which is their price! The McQueen booties are sold for $1,150 whereas the Madden versions are only $130.
Take a look at them and decide for yourself.
Christian Louboutin as Film Director
I just found this captivating movie on YouTube. It is a short film by Christian Louboutin. The film is called Psycho-logic and is described as:
“Christian Louboutins charming debut as a writer/director, tells the story of a young woman finding her ultimate fantasy… at the new Hollywood Boutique of Christian Louboutin”.
I wanted to share it with all Louboutin fans and shoe and boot lovers.

We have just entered the fall season but the designers have already started to come out with their spring/summer 2010 collections.
Nicholas Kirkwood collaborated with the Rodarte sisters and this collaboration resulted in very interesting shoes for the Spring/Summer 2010 season.
The industrial looking materials such as nuts, bolts, and scrape metal combined with the tribal inspired cut out leather design and sharp studs create a futuristic look for these stiletto heeled sandals, which is sexy and attractive at the same time.
It is a ‘work of art’ and a display of creativity. The Rodarte collection exudes primitivism with a blend of futuristic touch, and Kirkwood’s footwear designs complete this look perfectly.
One word describes it so well: Fierce!

In the middle of the day, are you feeling tired, do you want to kick your shoes off at work, even thought these are your ‘old faithful’? You know your go to shoes you had them for years. They are a little run down but you still love them. These old shoes can be causing you physical harm. Well, according to MSN Health, old shoes can be a cause of some major health problems.

Girls, it is time to go green and save!
Green is not one of the main colors in our collective color plate. I was not sure about going green for fall/winter 2009. Was it too daring? As I was contemplating the validity of this post during my morning commute, a vision in green captivated my attention. My fellow commuter, the always stylish yet never dull, Ms. Fierce (my personal nickname for her). Wearing a very lovely green python printed pump with a green satin pencil skirt, with a burgundy bag. Yes, she went there and the land was good.
This solidified it for me: Be bold, be adventurous and save money go green! (And don’t forget to check the sidebar for links to online retailers).
Check my blog for further green designs and lots of pictures.

There is a close relationship between new cars and white boots! When you check the pictures from various auto shows from all around the world – i.e. IAA Frankfurt (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung ), North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Tokyo Motor Show, Paris Auto Show (Paris Mondial De L’Automobile), International Geneva Motor Show (Salon International de l’Auto) and others, you discover an interesting fact: the most preferred outfit for car company models is shorts and boots, and the preferred color for boots is white.
White is closely followed by black and then the third choice is probably a tie between silver and red.
Visit my website blog to see a picture collection of sexy girls in sexy white boots at various auto shows all around the world from the past couple of years.

Winter is almost here. It is raining today and the temperatures dropped sharply.
Hey, it is good news! Good news for us boot-addicted ladies. Finally it’s boot time baby! Yeah!
Since it is officially (almost) the year of the boots, we have so many choices. There are some great boots from different designers that may offer the solution to the question “What am I going to wear”? Visit my website blog for more pictures.

Giuseppe Zanotti keeps hitting us with great looking boots!
These electric blue or pewter woven metallic peep-toe ankle boots with 4 1/4 inch heels in this post are so gorgeous that they need to be a must for the fall closet of any boot lover. They would look absolutely gorgeous with any formal dresses or casual outfits especially with your jeans.
You can find these boots online at Net-A-Porter or LUISAVIAROMA .

I have always been a fan of Gianmarco Lorenzi shoe and boot designs.
The latest boot models for the fast-approaching Fall/Winter season by him are truly exquisite. I also love the material quality and craftsmanship.
The models with platforms allow higher heels, which I really prefer, without sacrificing comfort.

Maria Grazia Cucinotta - 2009 Venice Film Festival
The 66th annual Venice Film Festival has started on September 2 and will end on September 12, 2009.
The Venice Film Festival (Italian: Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia) is the oldest film festival in the world. Founded in 1932, the festival has since taken place every year in late August or early September on the world famous island of the Lido, Venice, Italy. Screenings take place in the historic Palazzo del Cinema on the Lungomare Marconi. It is one of the world’s most prestigious film festivals and is part of the Venice Biennale.
As every year, many actors, actresses, directors and celebrities from all around the world attended the festival.
One of this year’s photo highlights at the Lido Beach was the Italian actress Maria Grazia Cucinotta [She has featured in many films and television series since 1990, she has also worked as a producer, screenwriter and model. She is well-known in Italy as a movie and television actress, and internationally, she is best known for her roles in Il Postino and as the Bond girl (the Cigar Girl) in the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough. She has also guest starred in The Sopranos episode "Isabella"].
Reporters and paparazzi rushed to take her pictures at the Lido Beach. And she sure offered them great poses in a great setting. She used her sexy red velvet high heel peeptoe pumps as an extremely efficient prop and in my opinion she won the “Best Use of High Heels in a Photo Shoot Award” at the 66th Venice Film Festival!

J Lo in Versace OTK Boots
Fellow Boot Lovers,
As you all know, 2009 Fall season brings us the gorgeous over-the-knee (OTK) boots. Once called “hooker boots” and strictly reserved for fetish events and stage performances, over-the-knee boots have already entered the daily life of many celebrities, who were eager to show off with their designer OTK boots in order to claim the fashion pioneer title. Like it is with every fashion article, these boots will be then a part of the daily lives of all fashionistas all around the world as soon as the summer temperatures cool down.
I know a lot of people, who already started (and some already finished!) their boot shopping to be ready not to miss the first possibility to wear those trendy tall boots. Some of the top models are already sold out and more and more companies are coming out with their version of OTK and thigh-high boots. There is a huge variety in terms of materials, shapes, colors and embellishments. Also, the prices vary a lot depending on the brand name, quality and the store that you buy the boots from.
One thing is for sure: We will enjoy wearing and seeing the beautiful tall boots again-after a couple of generations- and I hope that this trend never dies out completely.

Celebrities in Over-The-Knee Boots (Part1)

I am sick and tired of people saying that this shoe and that boot has “stiletto heels” and then I see that they only have high heels that happen to be not chunky! I have seen so many pictures online, that were supposed to be of some ”stiletto heeled shoes or boots” which were only 3-3.5 inch classic heels.
The best definition of a stiletto heel is “A very high heel on a woman’s shoe, tapering to a very narrow tip. Origin: 17th Century; from Italian, from stilo a dagger, from Latin stilus a stake, pen“. Most of the real stiletto heels are also called pin heels or spike heels.
I absolutely see no reason to call any type of high heel a stiletto heel to give it a more sophisticated and exquiste status. Unless it is very thin at the base and pointed at the heel tip, a heel should not be called a stiletto heel but simply a high heel.
To clarify what a real stiletto heel is, I am posting a couple of shoe and boot pictures with “real” stiletto heels.

I must admit, I am a Boot Girl. I love boots and I can wear them anytime, even in the summer!
This year, a new trend emerged. Designers all around the world are creating styles that look like a pair of rather closed peeptoe pumps or sandals but they call them a bootie, “peeptoe bootie”, “open-toe ankle boots” or even a “shoe bootie” or “shoe boot” as in case of Fendi High Heel Gladiator Shoe Boots.
Whatever they are called, these styles are sexy and gives us ladies the chance to show off our well-pedicured toes, even in fall and winter! There is also a continuing trend for over-the-knee (OTK) and thigh-high designs and although most designers are looking for a fresh style, I love some of the retro look like in Jimmy Choo, Michael Kors, Miu Miu, and especially Prada OTK models.
Although there are some cute flat or low-heel OTK boots this year (especially some riding boot inspired models), I always prefer high heels and stilettos!
Below are some of my high heel boot and bootie preferences for this fall season. I will be posting more of this tomorrow.

Although there will be always hardcore boot-girls (like me), who would stick to their stylish boots no matter how hot it is outside, summer generally means wearing sexy sandals and displaying the freshly lotioned heels and pedicured toes.
The designers were especially accommodating with their gorgeous sandal styles this summer to assist us ladies in our pursuit of the ultimate sexy looks. The summer is about to come to an and in a month or so therefore we’ll need to hurry up and use our sandals as much as we can before we jump into our sexy boots!

Fellow Boot Lovers,
My Goodness! There is so much going on in the Boot Universe that it is crazy-in a great way of course!
The more the designers reveal their creations the more exciting it gets for all of us Boot Bitches! Some styles are so tempting that I can barely hold myself back from jumping into a pair of my thigh high leather boots with stiletto heels and getting out under the sun at 95 degrees!!
As I mentioned previously, the greatest two trends are the high heeled peeptoe booties and the over-the-knee/thigh-high boots. But one thing is mostly common in both trends and that is the high stiletto heels. When was the last time that we had so many styles with 5 inches and higher heels? Most boots also feature platforms-hidden or visible- that make the higher heels more manageable for daily use.
All in all, this fall will be a great time for all boot lovers-and fetishists amongst us since the “unconventional” and exquisite fetish styles are becoming a part of ladies’ daily boot game!
